2006 Nissan Murano
A crossover sport utility vehicle, the 2006 Nissan Murano features a 245-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6 with Nissan's fuel-efficient Xtronic Continuous Variable Transmission. New for this model year are several exterior enhancements including a new wheel design, restyled front grille, brushed aluminum rear bumper protector, roof rail, fog lamp rings, LED rear combination lamps and chrome accent side sills and lower front bumper. Enhanced driver instrumentation for improved daytime and nighttime visibility, a new leather package option, illuminated steering wheel controls, Advanced Air Bag System and RearView Monitor are new on the 2006 Nissan Murano.
The 2006 Nissan Murano comes in five models including 2WD S and SL and AWD S, SL and SE. The heart of all the 2006 Nissan Murano is the 245-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine. Standard on all models are Xtronic CVT, 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, EBD and BA, 4-wheel independent suspension, power rack-and-pinon steering, 21.7 gallon fuel tank, 18-inch alloy wheels, reclining rear seat backs, dual zone automatic temperature control, AM/FM/CD audio system with mp3 capability, 7-inch LCD color display, power windows with auto up/down feature on front windows, keyless remote entry system and illuminated steering wheel controls.
The 2006 Nissan Murano SE features a sport-tuned suspension with firmer front/rear springs, struts and shock absorbers, manual shift mode, unique sporty alloy wheels, dark silver lower front bumper, High Intensity Discharge headlights with manual headlamp levelizer and illuminated steering wheel audio controls.
Option packages for the 2006 Nissan Murano include the Convenience Package with 10-way power adjustable seat with power lumbar and seat back pockets, adjustable pedals, roof rails, cargo net and cover, the Premium Package offers a Bose audio system, adjustable pedals, roof rails, cargo net and cover, the Sunroof Package with all the features of the Premium Package and adds a sunroof, the SL and SE Leather Package with the Sunroof Package and leather-appointed seats, 4-way adjustable power passenger's seat and dark silver-colored lower bumper, the SL and SE Touring Package with the Leather Package and Intelligent Key, driver's seat memory system, heated front seats and outside mirrors, HID xenon headlights and available satellite radio.
Other options available include the Dynamic Control Package with Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control System and Tire Pressure Monitor System and a DVD-based navigation system.
