2006 Nissan Titan
The full-size 2006 Nissan Titan pickup offers features such as Wide-Open rear doors on the King Cab that open 168 degrees, a high-utility bed that includes an industry-first factory-applied spray-on bedliner, a Utili-track tie down system and an integrated, lockable bedside storage compartment.
The 2006 Nissan Titan is enhanced with new standard power folding mirrors with heat, power adjust, auto dim and integrated turn signal on the Titan LE, mid-grade audio package adds the ability to play mp3-formatted CDs, and other minor option packages and model improvements.
An all-aluminum 305-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 engine gives 9,500 pounds of maximum towing capacity for the King Cab and 9,400 pounds of maximum towing capacity for the Crew Cab. The standard 5-speed automatic transmission was designed especially for heavy-duty truck use, with emphasis on serious towing.
The 2006 Nissan Titan is available in King Cab and Crew Cab body styles as well as three models, the XE, SE and LE, each with a choice of 2WD or 4WD. Standard on all models is the powerful 5.6-liter V8, 5-speed automatic transmission with Tow/Haul mode, power rack-and-pinion steering and 17-inch wheels and tires.
A split front bench seat (40/20/40 split) with a center seat fold-down armrest storage bin and split fold-up rear seat (60/40 split) with three-point seat belts for all positions and available spray-on bedliner are standard on the 2006 Nissan Titan XE.
Titan SE models feature 5-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome steel center bumper, while the LE models feature 6-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels, high-utility bed, leather-appointed seating, Rockford Fosgate-powered audio system with eight speakers, some new features including auto climate control system and power folding mirrors with heat, power adjust, auto dim and intergrated turn signal.
Optional packages and features are available for all models. XE and SE 2WD models are available with a Trac Package that includes 2-wheel limited slip and front tow hooks. The XE Preferred Package features an upgraded audio system, sliding rear tinted window and overhead console. The Crew Cab XE Preferred Package adds remote keyless entry, vehicle security system and an Immobilizer system. The SE Popular Package features an upgraded audio system with steering wheel audio controls, rearview mirror, temperature and UGDO, proximity sensors and adjustable pedals, and the Popular Rockford Fosgate Package featuring the options of the Power Package plus a Rockford Fosgate-powered audio system. The Crew Cab SE model offers an availalbe sunroof for 2006. The LE model offers an available Navigation Package with DVD-based navigation system.
The 2006 Nissan Titan also offers an Off-Road Package for all 4WD models featuring Rancho performance gas shocks, lower final gear ration, BFGoodrich Rugged Trail tires, 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, skid plates, fog lamps and tow hooks. The SE and LE models offer a Utility Bed Package with C-channel tie down system, bed side storage, rear bed lighting and power point and spray-on bedliner. New for 2006, the Titan's Tow Package is offered on the XE models featuring receiver hitch, lower final gear ratio, additional 7-pin wiring harness plug, trailer brake prewiring, transmission temperature gauge, extending mirrors and heavy-duty battery.
