2006 Nissan Xterra
The second generation Xterra, introduced in 2005, received enhancements including more power, more roominess and more utility in the 2006 Nissan Xterra. The heart of the 2006 Nissan Xterra is a 245-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 engine. New for 2006 includes an entry-level X model, Power Package as standard on all S models, a glove box lock, lamp and damper, available satellite radio and new exterior and interior colors.
The 2006 Nissan Xterra is offered in four models, the new entry-level X, S, Off-Road and SE. All 2006 Nissan Xterra models come standard with a 4.0-liter V6 and a choice of manual or automatic transmissions and in 4WD or 2WD configurations. The 2006 Nissan Xterra S model now comes standard with the Power Package featuring immobilizer with vehicle security system and alarm, remote keyless entry, power door locks, mirrors and windows, and cruise control.
Option packages include a Utility Package featuring step rails, sunvisor, illuminated mirrors, cargo net, flat-fold passenger seat and first aid kit, and a Rockford Fosgate Audio Package featuring a Rockford Fosgate-powered audio system, 6-disc in-dash CD changer and mp3-CD capable, eight speakers and subwoofer, steering wheel audio controls and speed-sensitive volume. Other available options include satellite radio with choice of XM or Sirius providers or Side/Curtain Air Bag Package.
